Patience is the watchword when it comes to pet photography – especially pet advertising photography. This not only applies to the actual work itself but also to waiting to see the work get out into the world which can sometimes take a while.
Case in point: I’ve been waiting to do this post since February when I did a pet-food packaging shoot for Safeway’s Priority Pet Brands which just hit the shelves in the last few weeks.
The creative team at Trinity Brand Group came up with a slick new look featuring images with healthy dogs, cats, puppies and kittens in motion. We did the shoot at the very cool Studio Shotwell in the Mission with a van full of four-legged talent from Bow Wow Productions: 4 dogs, 3 cats 2 puppies and 2 kittens to be exact.
See the evidence below with behind-the-scenes shots from the studio along with images from the day and the final products
Many thanks and props go also to Marc from Little Giant for his lighting magic; Rachel Kissel, Photoshop maestro extraordinaire, for her sorcery in post; and last, but not least, Jeanette, who, as always just made everything happen.
