Sometimes it’s very difficult to not ascribe human attributes to pets. In fact, I do it all the time. For instance when my cat, Jimmy Chew, knocks stuff off my dresser on purpose just to get a rise out me I think he’s being a jerk. See, just did it again (but he really is being a jerk)!
I’ve also noticed that when animals are together I tend to project thought bubbles over them and imagine what they’re saying to each other. This happened a few weeks ago on a pet photo shoot I did for a pair of Pomeranians who kept turning to each other constantly as if to do some sort of canine color commentary on this process I was putting them through. It got me wondering what it would look like if I put together a set of images featuring dogs appearing to share comments with each other.
